Please note: If this is your first visit with us, or if it has been more than 5 months since your last appointment, or if you are seeking treatment for a new area of the body, you must book an Initial Assessment.

Please do not book a subsequent appointment if an Initial Assessment is required. If you accidentally book a 30-minute session instead of an Initial Assessment, your appointment will be canceled and subject to the cancellation fee.

If you’re unsure about which appointment to book, please don’t hesitate to call the clinic. Our Care Team will be happy to assist you.

For WSBC or ICBC Claims: Please call us directly to schedule your appointment—do not book online. This ensures we have all the necessary claim information for your visit. We also provide direct billing to major extended health insurance providers, though coverage depends on your individual plan. We recommend contacting your provider in advance to confirm coverage details before your appointment.

**Please note: We do not accept cash. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Debit, and Amex only , also cancellations made less than 24 hours before physiotherapy or massage appointments, or less than 48 hours before pelvic health or scoliosis appointments, will incur a full session fee.

Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to seeing you soon!

This is regarded as the gold standard of treating scoliosis and I have been certified since 1991.

I also provide a broad range of other physiotherapy treatments. I have been practicing medical acupuncture for nearly 20 years. I am also certified in Gunn Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS). As well, I have advanced certification in vestibular rehabilitation for treating patients with vertigo and balance related disorders.

As a physiotherapist, I truly enjoy the opportunity to treat a wide variety of injuries and challenges the body can face. Every person’s journey is unique, and I take pride in having a broad scope of knowledge and practice that allows me to approach each case with a well-rounded, evidence-based perspective. This diversity keeps me continually learning, growing, and staying up to date with the latest research and treatment techniques. My goal is to work with you—not just for you—to create a treatment plan that empowers you as an individual. I believe in collaboration, open communication, and building trust so that you feel confident and supported every step of the way. Whether you’re recovering from an injury, managing pain, or working to optimize movement and function, I’m here to help you move better, feel stronger, and achieve your goals.

How else can I help you?

I’ve found that I have a special passion in helping individuals recover from lower back pain, a journey that is deeply personal to me. I’ve struggled with on-and-off lower back pain for over 10 years, stemming from an injury I sustained in high school. It wasn’t until going through physiotherapy school and learning specific skills and techniques that I was able to manage my pain, fully recover, and regain control of my movement and life. Lower back pain is incredibly common in today’s world—whether from desk jobs, car accidents, or the demands of daily life—and it can significantly impact both physical and mental well-being. Because of my own experience and ongoing learning, I’ve developed a true passion for understanding the complexities of lower back pain and staying up to date with the most effective evidence-based treatments to support recovery. I’m here to help you navigate your own path toward healing and to share the knowledge and techniques that worked for me and countless others. My goal is to provide individualized care that empowers you to move freely, confidently, and without pain. Whatever your journey may look like, I’m ready to support you every step of the way.

“Want to Know a Little Bit More About Me?”

I’m lucky to share my life with my wonderful wife and our two little ones here on Vancouver Island. I was born in the beautiful Cowichan Valley and have had the opportunity to live all over British Columbia—and even spend 2 years in Peru. But no matter where I’ve been, I couldn’t stay away from the incredible beauty of Vancouver Island. It truly feels like home. I have a deep passion for the surf here on the island, and if you’re a surfer working through an injury or hoping to get back in the water pain-free, let’s chat! Also, if you’re a Volkswagen van fanatic (like myself), lets swap break-down stories.

What can I do for you?

As a tinkerer of the human body, a physiotherapist has two responsibilities: Help to fix the current problem and help to prevent any future damage from occurring. When assessing you, I will be looking at how your body functions together as a whole, along with your presenting complaint, to discover any and all underlying causes of the problem.

We have multiple “core” muscles throughout our body within our neck, back, stomach, legs and feet. It’s my job to help provide you the tools to have a successful rehabilitation of your current injury, and strengthen these “core” muscles throughout the body to optimize how all pieces of your body work together.

How else can I help you?

To provide you optimal treatment, I will use a combination of techniques to help your recovery. I use hands-on manual therapy techniques, as well as modalities to help reduce your pain and improve the movement of the affected area. I also use exercise to help you rehabilitate your current injury, and strengthen you to prevent future injuries. I am a firm believer in active rehabilitation, as I feel it gives you the tools to help keep up with the maintenance your injury requires.

What can I do for you? Do you suffer from chronic pain that seems to persist month after month or even year after year? Perhaps you have a nagging pinching feeling in your shoulder that just won’t go away? Do you have an aching neck or low back where living with constant pain has become your new normal? Or maybe it’s a hip that is chronically tight and just never feels quite right. While all of these are common, they are not normal. I offer the most up to date evidence-based treatment focused on corrective exercise, education, and manual therapy so that we can work together to fix your pain at its source. I strive to perform detailed, personalized assessments in order to dig deep and identify the fundamental cause of your pain so that we can work together to optimize mind, body and movement. My goal is to teach you to understand your body and why pain is occurring in order to empower you and get you back to doing the activities that are most meaningful to you.

How else can I help you? Is your pain or injury holding you back from achieving your goals? Whether that is accomplishing a new personal record squatting at the gym, training for that marathon, or enjoying leisure activities like paddle boarding or kayaking, I love the challenge of determining the root cause of what is holding you back so that you can achieve peak performance. By focusing on analyzing which movement patterns or training errors are leading to your pain, we can work together to optimize posture, alignment, and movement to help you build strength and move better so that you can accomplish your competitive and recreational goals.

Want to know a little bit more about me? I grew up playing team sports such as hockey, baseball, basketball and volleyball, but have since taken a special interest to more individual endeavors such as weight training, snowboarding, rock climbing, hiking and scuba diving. On my days off you can catch me out on the water on my paddle board, or in the ocean freediving, looking to observe BC’s amazing marine biodiversity.

What can I do for you? I work in mindfulness and somatic-based modalities to help clients build contemplative practices, strengthen their distress tolerance and improve their psychological flexibility. I work with clients aging from 10+ to elder years, and I have specialized expertise working with high performance athletes, first responders, and military personnel.

How else can I help you? By improving focus and attention, sensory awareness, and compassion, clients can improve their overall well-being by improving both physiological and psychological health. Mindfulness is a skills practice positively influencing emotional regulation, sleep, immunity, and cardiovascular health while decreasing injuries and the negative impacts of stress on the body, mind and spirit.
